Doctor Who & Libraries

My love for Doctor Who warrants another blog entirely. But this quote, from the episode Tooth and Claw in which the Doctor protects Queen Victoria/all of England from a werewolf alien (!), just about sums up what makes literature and Doctor Who so great.

The Doctor, the champion of the universe, is also a man with two hearts, someone whose only tool is a sonic screwdriver, and someone for whom books are the ultimate weapon. Talk about a real hero we can believe in.

So, every time you pick up a book, know that the Doctor is giving you a pat on the back. Books teach us to be the guardians and champions of our own universes. Plus, they ensure that we never, ever stop learning, loving, and growing. Allons-y!

For all my Doctor Who fans, the ultimate library moment. Goodbye, sweetie.
